Saturday we moved north, just 42 miles, to Williamstown. The Quechee KOA had a leaf peepers caravan coming in so we had to vacate our site. We’re staying at Limehurst Lake Campground, its not very large and is quiet for now but is probably a happening place in the summer. They have a small, open to the public for a fee, beach and water slide so I’m sure it stays busy. The lake is just a few acres but there is a nice trail all the way around it. I think the same caravan that chased us out of Quechee has followed us here, they arrived...

Sep 18, 2015 - Williamstown VT

The journey from Woodford to Williamstown was great. One of the smoothest stretches of interstate we have had in a while with very little traffic, terrific weather and spectacular scenery made for easy traveling. I'll say it again...we are really impressed with Vermont. From the time we crossed into VT from NY, Tuesday's trek from south to north and everywhere in between, it has been beautiful. We got set up by about 2:30 on Tuesday, ate some lunch then we picked the closest thing on the co-pilots list of stuff to do, and took off about 30...

We began our Vermont visit with, what else, Ben and Jerry's! The tour was very fascinating! Plenty of puns on the word MOO (like the movie on the history of the company)! they also emphasized their charitable work and their effort to be responsible about where and how they get their ingredients. At the end of the tour, they have a tasting of a new flavor they are working on. The tasters fill out a comment card and they use those to improve the flavor and eventually to decide whether or not to market it!We tasted strawberry cotton candy....
