Jul 18, 2017 - Day 1 Vermont bicycle trip Burlington to Swanton 42 miles

Left Jacksonville by rental car on July 13th and camped in North Carolina first night at s state park. HOT and sweaty and strange noises from the river and woods. We both slept poorly. Headed up the coast to Baltimore and Philadelphia and drove by the house I grew up in - Chadds Ford PA. Went to a big reggae festival at the Mann Theatre Ampitheatre while in Phila which was fun plus used Uber while there which definitely beats other forms of city transportation. Aug 17, 2013 - Swanton, Vermont

Days 164 -166 of The Big Trip Leaving Massena, on August 15, we left the St. Lawrence Seaway and had another beautiful drive. Just out of Massena, we were only a bridge length from Canada. There have been several times, during this trip, that we've received text messages from Verizon, welcoming us to Canada. We've been really successful in hugging the border. Jul 28, 2007 - Campbell's Bay, West Swanton, VT -

We left Rogers Rock St Park & followed Rt9N north to Crown Pt, NY where we crossed Lake Champlain into Vermont. We continued on small highways to Rt 7N thru beautiful dairy farm country, headed toward Burlington, VT. There we went north on I-89 to Swanton, VT. Campbell's Bay campground is privately owned & is located between West Swanton & Swanton, north of Rt 78 on Campbells Bay which is off the area between the main part of Lake Champlain & the Missisquoi Bay.
