2017-08-16 North to Vermont We left Doylestown on Monday, August 14th and drove to Saugerties, New York where we stayed at a KOA (Kampground of America) campground. We had stayed there previously so we knew that we would be able to "fit". The weather was sort of rainy and wet so we didn't spend any time walking about. Tuesday, we drove into Vermont and outside of Rutland, took the scenic Rt. 100 north through the iconic Vermont countryside. Days 167 - 168 of The Big Trip On August 18, having only about 70 miles to travel, we got ready to leave at a very slow pace. It was another beautiful drive across northern Vermont and it took us across some mountains. It's just the middle of August and the trees were already beginning to turn. Our destination was a campground near Westfield, Vermont. When we arrived, we asked the owner if the colors were coming early and he said, "Yes. But, it could stop with the right weather." Sep 27, 2009 - Vermont in all its beauty

Well, yes, strictly speaking this is a ROAD TRIP. We are piling on miles, and not often stopping so that means I can only talk about stuff we see 'in passing'. As far as the route goes, we don't have a plan - we kind of get up in the morning and look out of the window, then at the map and say "thattaway".
