We got up early so we could drive to Quebec in search of Bill's ancestral cemetery from the 1800s. Got the passports out and bill looked at his to see how he had aged. He looked as good but no mustache. Then he looked at the expiration date 3/23/2015. We had not even thought about that so its a good thing we didn't drive 2 hrs up there to get turned away or worse, let in but not allowed back to the USA! So we rode mtn bikes for 6 miles and enjoyed another night listening to the loons on the lake!

Jul 24, 2015 - Maidstone lake

As we traveled north on 100 out of Waterbury, there was a Cabot cheese store where you could sample all of their cheeses. They definitely have some great tasting cheeses! Next door to them was Smuggler's Notch distillery that said they had the #1 rated vodka so of course we had to sample that and their gin. Talk about good and smooth! We bypassed the chocolates store next door and headed to northern vt. We found Maidstone state park and the ranger, Tom, was most helpful.
