Jul 26, 2011 - Times With Family

Since arriving in Vermont we have had a great time visiting with family. The weather has been great except for three hot days. We had a couple of visitors at Dad's house the other night. When Bill asked if they had seen any deer, Dad said no. Then Bill looked out the window and there they were. One got real close to the neighbors garden but got spooked and left. We have seen them again since then. We saw some fireworks over the city. We missed all the fireworks along the way so it was a treat. We have seen two of Bill's uncles and one aunt....

Jul 6, 2011 - Vermont - Our Destination For Two Months

Well we finally made it to Vermont. We had a great trip even though we had some severe weather along the way. We traveled 3,807 miles to get here. We averaged 12.7 mpg. We are staying at Lazy Lions Campground in Graniteville just a quarter mile from Bill's parents. We will be here until September 6th. It was great to see Bill's parents again. We look forward to spending time with family and friends in Vermont.

VERMONT - JUNE 7-18 On our way to my dad’s we stopped at the Vermont Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the rest area in Sharon, Vermont. It was a beautiful memorial and a great tribute to Vermont’s Vietnam Veterans. We arrived at my father & mother’s house on Saturday afternoon, June 7th. While backing our RV into Dad’s driveway I hooked my bathroom vent on his telephone wire and pulled it from the house. Luckily it didn’t break the wire however it did shatter my vent cover.
