Oct 6, 2013 - Fall colors - Alpine Loop

On one of our last days in Utah for the season, we took a ride up the Alpine Loop/American Fork Canyon. This beautiful area is just minutes from our apartment in our son's house. The fall colors were a bit muted this year, but the scenery is always breathtaking. We walked around Cascade Springs, which we haven't done in a couple of years.

Jun 1, 2010 - Timpanogos Caves National Monument

We drove about 75 minutes from Hill Air Force Base to visit the Timpanogos Cave National Monument that lies within the Uinta National Forest. There is a $7 charge for adults to be led through the cave tour by a park ranger and B.A.T. - back assistant tour guide, also a small fee for children. Cyndy and Gene hiked up and we mean up, almost 1200 feet gained in altitude, to the cave.
