I had an uneventful drive from Idaho Falls to Springville, which is just south of Salt Lake City. The traffic was really heavy through the city. Not fun to drive there. The day was overcast and gloomy with a low of 5 and a high of 14 C. I have been keeping one day ahead of a big snow storm that keeps threatening to catch up with me if I stay in one place too long. There are some parks that I want to see but if the weather is too bad I will push on to Las Vegas. Things I miss: Tim Hortans and Chinese Mandarin Oranges. I can't get Chinese...

Today I continued west across southern Utah and then turned north on I15. Back on the same highway that I used to come south in November. Just outside of Green River I saw a sign that said no towns or gas stations for the next 106 miles. This is the longest stretch of land I have ever seen on a major freeway with no human habitation or services. I continue to see amazing things. This is what I like about travel.
