August 6, 7 & 8 2008 Moving on from our family reunion in Idaho we went to Hill AFB Family Camp in Utah. Hill AFB is in the town or Roy and is about 20 miles north of Salt Lake City. This is the first military campground we have stayed at during this trip. As with most things we found it on the internet and the reviews were very good for this family camp. It was a good stop for us and we got to stock up using the commissary and the exchange. Plus various planes were flying overhead most days we were there, so we had our own air show. Since...

Jun 20, 2008 - Hill AFB, UT
The good news: It was a huge day for us! I filled up the gas tank after crossing over the mountains from Moab to the I-15. We got a whopping 7.82 mpg!!! Wahooooooooo. I attribute the great increase in mileage to not running the generator. Although the generator doesn't really affect mileage, it does feed off the main gas tank which affects our mileage numbers... Our numbers from Williams to Moab were good, too: 6.9 mpg. The bad news: We left Mom and Dad Duffy / Brother Rich and Jody today. We departed Moab at 0800 after our last family...

May 1, 2008 - Roy, Utah at Hill AFB
We made it into Hill AFB located in Roy, Utah at about 830am. We gat all settled in and found our long lost friends, Mike and Christi Butterfield. The boys (Coty and Jesie) are actually getting an evening away from Mom and Dad and staying with them tonight!
