Jun 25, 2019 - Price, UT (6/18 -6/19/19)

We left Helper but were having a bit of trouble with the RV. We drove about 9 miles over to Price where there is a Ford Dealership. They were able to get the parts we needed and fix the RV, but it would be the next day. We left the RV in their parking lot and walked across the street to a Holiday Inn Express. For what we paid there we could have stayed in a very nice RV park 3 or 4 nights. What can you do. Since the RV wasn't finished until late afternoon the next day, we got another room at the Ramada next to the Holiday Inn. It was 1/2...

Jun 23, 2015 - Price, UT

Price, Utah was to be our WalMart overnight stop on the way to Moab. We arrived at 1:00, did some shopping for needs, decided it was to hot to sit in a parking lot for hours. So we fire up the motorhome and hit the road again, 220 miles. Got to Moab about 4:00, it was still hot, but we have 50 amp service and AC.

Apr 30, 2015 - Price, UT

Thu, 30 Apr: A nice easy road day... After sitting at Ken's Lake since Saturday it was time to mosey along. Our friends Bobbie & Lee Powell will depart Moab this morning so we decided to make it a two day journey to Ogden. We awoke with the sun. We've been sleeping with our bedroom shades open so we could wake up to the sun shining on the La Sal Mountains and the bluffs that surround ken's Lake. It is hard to stay in bed when the world around you is so spectacularly beautiful. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast along with several mugs of...

Sep 15, 2014 - Over Night in Price, Utah

We moved out of the apartment on Saturday and spent that night at Caseys. That allowe us to clean the apartment and pack the car so we could leave early on Sunday. Well sort of early - we were on the road by 9:00. It was an uneventful drive to our first stop - Price, Utah. In fact it's hardly worth mentioning but I wanted to create a marker on the map and the only way to do that is publish an entry with the location. We picked Price as our first stop as it's on route to our next stop - Pinetop, Arizona where we'll spend two nights visiting...

Sep 14, 2014 - Price, Utah

We drove to Price for the day in the jeep to visit the Olsens. Drive was 2 hours from Moab. Had a good visit with Alice, Donald and Joe. Checked out the two houses we lived in while in Price. Lived there from around 1971 to 1977. Last time in Price was in 2002 when my best friend Ricky died. We were only able to visit for a few hours, but hope to go there again in the future.

Sep 3, 2012 - Price, Utah

Up and at em again in the crisp (+5) mountain air. We dragged our feet packing up and having coffee until it warmed up to (+11) and headed for Utah. Turkey, who is my local weather man told me we would get no rain today in the direction we were going so we packed away our rain gear. As we started west we travelled through rolling range land dotted with cattle and surrounded by mountains on every side. It warmed up quickly as we drove and pretty soon we started into the Routt National Forest and up the mountains again through the Rabbit Ears...

Jun 17, 2009 - Day 13

As you have noticed there are two postings today, between computer issues and internet problems I was not able to post yesterday so here's what happened today. We left Elko, NV in the rain and it rained off and on most of the way to Salt Lake City. When we got to Salt Lake we pulled into the Walmart and it had a covered parking deck for their customers. pretty cool!! Donnetta has a niece that lives in Salt Lake and she called her and Cindy met us down at the temple square. Only members of the LDS are allowed in the temple which my question...

May 3, 2009 - The Many Benefits of Camping at a Wal-Mart

Many people think you have to travel to exotic places to find beauty, but that's just not true. Take for example, the Wal-Mart parking lot. Now, we're not big fans of staying in a Wal-Mart, in fact we've only done it once, but needing a quick and easy stop between Moab and Provo, we decided on the Price, Utah Wal-Mart. Our "space" (well, we took about 10 spaces) came with pine trees! Who needs to travel deep into the forest to find those? Our recliners go back even farther because we're parked at such an incline - another great benefit. ...

Aug 21, 2007 - Colorado to Utah leg

Left Navajo State Park reluctantly at 8:30 AM and headed toward Utah. Durango, CO was an interesting town and we thought that it might be fun to camp there sometime. Near the Colorado-Utah line, we saw acres and acres of sunflowers. This must be where sunflower seeds and sunflower oil come from. Went through Monument Canyon - AMAZING! Air conditioner not working properly as we drove through the "high desert." HOT! We were delayed by road construction but finally made it to Scofield State Park, UT. It was pretty on the lake but there were...

Jul 7, 2007 - Lava Hot Springs, ID

Left Olathe, Colorado by 8 am and we're hoping to make it to Lava Hot Springs, ID tonight. Stopped off at Price, UT to buy groceries and thought we would eat lunch while we were there. Chicken salad was delicious, and we were on our way. Mom used to live in Utah years ago she said, so she kinda knew her way. Kennedy and I did not play much because she was shy and wasn't ready to play, so I just did my reading and coloring and kept waiting for her to want to play. The trip was long but we pulled into Lava Hot Springs, ID about 8 pm and dad...
