Aug 29, 2009 - Box Elder County Fair & Rodeo

We have been trying to catch a Rodeo all summer but wherever we’ve been either too early or too late to catch one. So it was great to learn that there was one at the local county fair about 10 miles from us. The fair was a typical county show, livestock, entertainment, funfair rides, food, drinks, etc.. We got there just in time to catch the Beatles tribute band – not something you would expect to find among all these country folk but they were great. They had the wigs, the clothes, the guitars the same names even the Liverpool accents....

Aug 27, 2009 - Instrument of Torture

I’ve been slowly packing on the pounds since we’ve arrived here. Not that I’ve been eating too much bad stuff, Jo puts the kybosh on that, but just through lack of proper exercise. So I woke up and decided that all that was changing. Now the problem with travelling in a 34 foot home is that theres no room for an exercise bike or rowing machine. So the answer for me was to buy a bike trainer which clamps to the back of our bikes and lets you cycle on the spot. So I can just sit there, listen to some music and work up a sweat a couple of...

Aug 25, 2009 - Plymouth, Utah

Around 450 miles south and across the Utah border lies Plymouth. Now we just couldn’t pass without stopping so we found a campsite and here we are just chilling in the Utah countryside. Farming is all there is around here and the when the wind is in the right (or wrong) direction, we get a lovely aroma of cows! Good news for us is that the kids have now gone back to school which means the camp grounds should be less crowded.
