Oct 11, 2009 - Panguitch, UT.

We are currently in Panguitch, UT., staying in Red Canyon RV Park. The park is small, needs a little TLC but is just fine for a three day stay. Its located just off of Hwy 12 & is 15 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park. Traffic goes zooming by us here at the park, but it is surprisingly quiet. We were warned when we arrived that there are critters that roam this park at night, like skunk, raccoons, & slightly larger animals like deer & antelope (we haven't seen any of them since we arrived here). We are grateful that no skunks have made...

Jun 19, 2009 - Hello Bryce Canyon and Canyonlands

Spent the past several days at Arches and Canyon lands in Moab, Utah and then on to Bryce National Park. It was 46 degrees up on the mountain today in Bryce. We all almost froze and none of us were happy. Ha Ha. But before we go there you must know the story of Vicky’s wallet. Trip accolades this week……. hands down go to Vicky. She aspired to entertain us with a new game, ”Where’s my wallet? During the hunt for the wallet we were able to uncover from under the couch, a wrench, an Elvis fan from last year’s trip that belongs to Judy and a...

Oct 8, 2008 - Salt Lake City to Panguich, Utah

It was a lovely morning to once again get the show on the road. We had a few chores to do before leaving; returning the rental car, paying the hotel bill and putting together a claim for BMW roadside assistance. I must say that BMW does a good job as far as assistance when broken down. They looked after the towing directly and we are cover for up to $800.00 reimbursement for accommodations, meals and alternate transportation costs. We left town on the freeway to get clear of the city as quickly as possible then took small 2 lane highways...

Jul 11, 2008 - Big Fish And The Grand Staircase

Panguitch, Utah (elevation 6650 feet) was a well needed change from Las Vegas. The weather has been warm and pleasant (although we are currently having a nice thunder shower). The town is small with one tiny but well stocked grocery store, "Joes" and only two churches, Morman and Catholic (can't let the LDS take over everywhere) but it is a popular tourist hub. Panguitch is near Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Panguitch was established by the Mormans in 1864. The first...

Jul 22, 2007 - Sunday in Panguitch, Utah

After not getting a RV spot in the Grand Tetons and the trip to Rock Springs, WY we deceided to make tracks for home. Sunday we drove over 400 miles and arrived in a little town called Panguitch, UT. Not much to say as we mostly just covered the same ground as when we went north. It will be another long day tomorrow as we plan on making it all the way home

May 18, 2007 - Zion National Park

Our trip to Zion was quick. We intended to take a scenic drive in Zion but missed the turn and decided to just continue though. We stopped for a couple of pictures and then drove to our next stop in Panguitch. We arrived in Panguitch late in the afternoon and took the bikes out with my parents to check out the town. We rode for 5 blocks and basically saw the whole city! We stopped for an anniversary dinner at Cowboy Cafe (a recommendation from the woman who took our bike picture). It was interesting.... Tomorrow we are renting an ATV and...
