Mar 17, 2013 - Road Trip to Utah

Our road trip began at 5:00 this morning, after our morning coffee was finished off. It took an hour to drive from Gold Canyon, on the southeast side of the Phoenix metro area, to I-17, on the northwest side of Phoenix. That hour’s drive was at 65 mph, too! Our friend Dave, told us that the Phoenix metro area is nearly 100 miles wide and nearly 60 miles from north to south. We enjoyed the drive though, and Marilyn told me several times that she was “in her happy place”. LOL We stopped for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff, then...

Mar 7, 2008 - Bryce Canyon

Right...well, yesterday we had internet for the first time in a few days and this web site didn't seem to want to work so I got pretty fed up. Now, you will have to have a brief run down on what we have been up to. Great day at Grand Canyon and then Jo, Nikki and I got up to go and watch the sunrise over the Canyon. Steve tried to work out where the sun would rise and thought that we wouldn't see the actual sun but we did!!! It was spectacular but very cold.
