We left Green River and took the fairly short ride to Little Wild Horse Canyon where the plan was to experience some slot canyon hiking. Little Wild Horse is just west of the Goblin Valley State Park, the second stop. When you arrive at Little Wild Horse you immediately know the place is special. There are big rocks everywhere and very significant washes. The signs warn of the danger of the flash floods which create these beautiful slot canyons. Desert Storm 2009

Jun 8, 2009 - Goblin Valley State Park

The drive to Goblins Valley State Park along I-70 is gorgeous. You start going through canyons and beautiful rock formations. The campground was filled up so we are boondocking on some nice BLM land about 7 miles outside of the park. We paid $7 day use fee to go inside the park first to fill the fresh water tank and then went back the following day to hike around in the park.
