Weather prediction for today promised the best day of the week, and so it was—sunny, mild temp and CALM winds. Yea! The plan was to visit Kodachrome Basin State Park, a short distance from our campground. However, Don missed the turn, and about 45 minutes later we realized that we were approaching Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. Oh well, go for it.
