Aug 9, 2011 - Day 46-Monday in Bountiful, Utah

We started the day off with a pancake breakfast (ala Kurt). The pancakes were excellent and I ate too many. ;-) The plan was to go to the Temple Square area in Salt Lake City for some sight-seeing and then return to drop off the young-uns and head back to Salt Lake City to a Brazilian Grill that Stephen had been raving about (just the adults). A couple of little hitches in the plan...Stephen found out that he was going to have to work for a while and Taundra found out that her short trip to the gym and West Valley was going to entail much...

Aug 7, 2011 - Day 45-The Sabbath in Bountiful

Today we went to Church at Stephen and Taundra’s ward (Val Verda). It was fast and testimony meeting and enjoyed some very fine and touching testimonies. Also went to Sunday School and Priesthood meeting. Afterwards, we came home and relaxed and then Taundra and Kurt put together and Mexican meal with home-made guacamole and home-made fresh salsa. Hmmmmmm! Delicious. Since then, we have been visiting and catching up and reviewing photographs of the trip. Then someone suggested that the meal wouldn’t be complete without some dessert....

Oct 10, 2008 - Hanging out at lower elevation

. Early morning temperatures are beginning to get a slight edge to them, making it increasingly obvious why we are heading south. Juanita bundled up for her morning walk with Bodie finding 31 degrees showing on the thermometer when she walked out the door. Traveling down the Interstate Highway towards Utah, the temperature device on the truck briefly hit 29 before we arrived at our next destination 176 miles distant. The afternoon high of 49 in North Salt Lake City, UT, was accompanied by a brisk wind and partly cloudy skies. We were not up...
