Any self respecting petrol head will know that the salt flats at Bonneville have been the venue for most of the notable speed record attempts over the years so a trip here was a must. So we drove 90 minutes west almost to the Nevada border to the speedway. While there were no rocket powered cars or land speed record attempts there was a motorcycle event taking place which kept us interested and entertained for a few hours. 240 mph on two wheels has to be respected. Then we done our own high speed run with the big V8 6 litre ford… Awesome.
