Jul 10, 2010 - HOME!!

Yesterday we arrived at David & Phyllis' around suppertime. We were tired and it was so nice to be able to sit back and relax for the evening with good company, a hot shower and a bed inside the house. They took us out for supper and we had our first catfish meal. It was great! And we had hushpuppies too. They were also yummy!! This morning we left Whitesboro and headed for home. Sep 29, 2009 - Lake Texoma, TX

We got up and went to the Country Store in Gordonsville, TX only to find out that we can’t get fishing licenses there as her system is not working, so she told us to go to Wal-Mart in Sherman. We did get our licenses there and on the way over there we saw two baby deer along the side of the road. We traveled Hwy 901 South to Hwy 82 East to get there. Back to the campground we fished off the point and Bo was the only one to catch anything which was a small catfish. Then we tried the boat dock and the fish were biting better there. Bo caught...

Dec 11, 2008 - Day off!

Day off (phew!) whilst Laurence collected another name in Dallas ... George and I took buggy around ranch and visited 'historic house' in Whitesboro: the house was built in 1902 of Texas Vernacular style with touches of Greek Revival and is now being preserved by the district. Also went to drive thru' bank - remarkable!

Arrived in Whitesboro - north of Dallas - to stay with Laurence and Ed's friend George ... thought we'd got the wrong address when we arrived ... absolutely fantastic house ... see George's website for more pics!
