“Aren’t you bored?” “What is there to do out there?” Those are the two most common questions we hear these days. So I thought I would take a minute to address those thoughts… No, we really aren’t bored. In fact the days and nights go by pretty quickly. Although Willis generally has more people to visit with during his day shift, I greet a fairly steady stream of workers at night, too. Whew, we have been so busy getting settled into our new job! But now we are settled and I have some time to catch you all up. Ever since we started fulltiming, as we traveled about, we have heard of RVers being “gate guards”. Willis and I discussed it over the years on and off as we listened to the various stories about the pay, the job, the good and the bad points of gate guarding. Should we give it a try? Wednesday November 12…11:00pm Drove into San Antonio this morning. The only thing we were worried about with getting right into the downtown area was parking. I had been on google maps and found a large parking lot close to downtown, so that is where we put our destination into the GPS unit. When we got there, it was much quieter than we had anticipated. It was about 11:00am and the parking lots were less than half full. But the parking lot we went to wanted $30 US ($36 CAN) for the day. And so did the next lot we tried. So we went to...
