Oct 4, 2012 - Just outside Dallas, TX
Left Vicksburg on Wednesday morning headed for somewhere in Texas. We ended up spending the night in a small town on the outskirts of Dallas. Stayed in a very nice RV park....the office lady gave us fresh made peanut butter cookies. No pics yet.....haven't seen anything to take a picture of. We should be doing some sightseeing soon.

May 29, 2012 - Our time in Terrell, Texas
We have a blast in Terrell. After returning from our long road trip to Reno we started accomplishing what we wanted to achieve while in Terrell. First thing - Fran called her Aunt who is still living in Terrell and plans were made to visit with her the next day. When we arrived at Aunt Rita's house we was able to visit with Aunt Rita's sister, Ava, and also Fran's cousins Glenda and Glenda's daughter, Wanda had driven in from Granbury. Fran had a blast! We all headed out to a family favorite restaurant, Cotton Patch (Gin) in Crandall. A...

Apr 30, 2012 - Travel day - Terrell, Texas
Very short travel day today, from Burleson to Terrell. We will have the motorhome parked there for 30 days. We was assigned a pull-in overlooking their lake .... very nice! Fran graduated from Terrell High School and she still has an Aunt that lives in the area so we will be doing some "down memory lane" time. God bless Ken and Fran

Sep 27, 2011 - Terrell, Texas
Our time in Terrell was bittersweet. This is the first time in Fran's life that she was in Terrell without seeing her Mother. We spent the time with her Aunt, the only living Aunt she has left. We visited with her both days we was here including taking her to one of the favorite food places for her and Fran's Mother and Dad - The Cotton Gin in Crandall, Texas. Ken and Fran

Mar 29, 2011 - White Rock Lake Park, seeing friends
White Rock Lake was constructed in 1911 as Dallas' first water reservoir and today has a very nice park around the lake. There is a 9.1 mile bike/hike loop path that was perfect for a bike ride. We met Archana and Benjamin for lunch yesterday then rode the bike path and enjoyed the park until time to meet them back at their house. They showed us the house then we went out for dinner. We haven't seen them since we visited them in Idaho in July 2009 and enjoyed seeing them and their new home in Dallas. Today we drove back in for another lunch...

Mar 27, 2011 - Drive to Terrell TX
Yesterday we played disc golf at the Cameron Park in Waco - we ended up playing with a couple we met while on the course and had a lot of fun. They are from Waco, but we were surprised to meet several people that were from out of town and enjoying the nice weather by playing disc golf. Today we drove to Terrell Tx. Our campground is a 45 minute drive into Dallas, but the nearest one that had a site available - guess next time we are here I need to make reservations earlier. We have friends living in Dallas - Archana and Benjamin - and when...

Dec 22, 2010 - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Greetings Everyone, We received these absolutely wonderful CHRISTMAS EATING TIPS from the same Fran and Ken (hey, guys, now up to three times) who recommended where we are staying right now. These were just entirely too funny and good to not pass along and hopefully will provide you a good laugh for the day as well as through the holiday season. We are also in the process of changing our website a bit and should have it all ready by the first of the year, or that's my goal. Will send out some information about it as we get it "launched" -...

Dec 21, 2010 - Terrell, Texas
We left the Welcome Center this morning around 0930 heading due west on I-20 towards the Blue Bonnett Ridge RV Park, 130 miles west. Our friends Fran and Ken took pity on our plight of not knowing where to go and casually recommended this beautiful RV park and even suggested we ask for the site they normally stay in. Thank you Fran and Ken; we are now parked in "your" #37, looking at the beautiful lake, all windows are open, fans are going and enjoying a beautiful, gorgeous Texas day in December. I drove around the park to take a few...

Sep 19, 2010 - Vicksburg,MS to Bossier City,LA to Terrell, TX
The stay in Vicksburg was so great! So much history that we was not aware of and we enjoyed visiting all the places. Historic Downtown Vicksburg was interesting. It has the building where the very first Coca-Cola was bottled anywhere in the world in 1894. Also the Old Courthouse - one of the finest antevellum structures in Vicksburg. The union army did not destroy the courthouse and now it houses a museum. But the most interesting place was Vicksburg National Military Park. Will not talk about it, will just let the pictures do the...

Oct 16, 2009 - Terrell, TX
FORECAST: Hi 73 Lo 55, 20% chance of rain After being on top of a mountain with complete peace and quiet this park is noisy! We’re just off the interstate and it’s the first time I’ve really noticed traffic noise while inside the coach. Even with the air conditioner (yes! A/C!) running, the noise is noticeable. I’ll get used to it again but the quiet park in Hot Springs was wonderful. Since we’ll be staying in the highly populated area of DFW through the weekend I guess my days of peaceful and quiet settings are over until we’re in the...

Oct 15, 2009 - Hot Springs, AR to Terrell, TX
Departure time: 11:30am Arrival time: 7:00pm 280 miles Woke up to drizzle and the view is obstructed with a layer of fog. Time to move on. Decided to take the easiest, fastest route towards Dallas. On our way out of town Justin met us with Isabella at a truck stop on I-30 near his home. We visited a few minutes and said our last goodbyes with hugs and kisses all around. Another cloudy, drizzly day but the temperature is warmer. Late in the day we stopped to get our bearings and find a campground, thought we found one, took off in the...
