Apr 27, 2011 - Another 300 Miles

We managed another 300+ miles today stopping at Stephen F Austin State Park about 50 miles west of Houston. It was a beautiful day and again there was little traffic. Even though we love the desert, it is nice to see green trees and green ground cover. What we are not looking forward to is that famous Florida humidity and the equally famous mosquitoes.

Feb 5, 2010 - Stephen F Austin

Second trip out. Meet Bill & Phyllis at the park. Was a wet start but it cleared enough for us to walk the trails. Walked one trail nearly to the end only to find the flooding had blocked our return so had to back track all the way. It was still a good trip for the Friday to Sunday.
