Dec 23, 2015 - Ready for Christmas

We left the beach behind on Tuesday morning and headed north, back to Zac's for the Christmas holiday. Zac has now moved to the tiny community of Sattler, Texas, in the Texas Hill Country. -- Our trip was uneventful and traffic was very light. It seemed like no time at all and we were in Seguin, where we met up with Pat for lunch. John had thought perhaps we might need a new front tire that was wearing but the tire place said no~! Merry Christmas to us! -- We will literally be staying next door to Zac's at the Summit RV Resort in Sattler....

Pretty Damn Nice!

Dec 25, 2014 - Christmas in Canyon Lake/Sattler TX

I am used to big family get together s over the Christmas Holiday. I do miss the Christmas Family visits back in Ohio, but I am not alone here in Texas. There are were about 30 people at the Pot Luck dinner last night. I can tell you there are a lot of good cooks in this camp. This is a pictorial overview of our little party. Dec 31, 2010 - Last day of 2010

Last day of 2010. This is my last day at this location, as I will be moving into Dickinson tomorrow, so took a few shots of the area before leaving. This time of year apparently doesn't see much tourist traffic, but based on the facilities and amenities along the river, I imagine this place is booming in the height of the tourist and fishing season. I was glad to be here now - other than the cold weather! As this will be the last entry for 2010, this has been a year of major events and challenges - births, deaths, and everything in between....
