Heading to San Antonio was a big trip, but we really wanted to get South before cooler weather hit the Northern part of the state. ... There are some things that are a given in regards to Texas. At 150 miles outside of San Antonio, topography has changed to lower scrubby trees, rolling mounds as opposed to hills, cattle ranches, oil wells just a pumpin', and , most importantly, the roads have smoothed out considerably. ... GSamaritanitan, Corky! But an 18 wheeler loaded with 20,000 fresh chickens, individually boxed!! With the time change switch, we got a good start for home from Lincoln Park. The wind was not blowing and the traffic was light on I-20 out of Fort Worth to US 281 for the run south to San Antonio. ...
