Saturday, April 18: Meeting friends Route: I-20E → TX-148N→ US-80E Weather: 60F and clear in the morning with a high of 82F in the afternoon Trip Average Gas Mileage: 29.1mpg Highlights: - passing through the small Texas towns along US-80 during “Yard Sale” weekend - visiting with friends - lunch at Don's Place and a sightseeing stop in Golden We had a lunch date with friends east of Dallas and we didn't want to be late so we were up by 6:00 and driving east on I-20 by 7:30. Nov 17, 2010 - Back in Quitman

Well we have made it home for the holidays....We have had a great holiday season with our families. We all gathered for Thanksgiving and Christmas and had a wonderful time visiting with each other. May 4, 2010 - Coming back home to see the Grandkids

Hello everyone....We had a great time on our trip to the coast, but we are missing the grandkids...So we have come back to Quitman to stay for just alittle while so we can catch up on our grandbabies. Dec 14, 2009 - Quitman for the Holidays

Here we are back in Quitman at the Jim Hogg City Park. Our plans are to spend the holidays here and then to head out on a new adventure after the first of the year. Our next post will be us heading to our next location. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Another reason we will be in one place for the holidays is if we are moving then how will Santa find us. For us that have not been as good as we should have, (meaning - there is always room for improvement) you have to make it as easy as possible for Santa to find...

Jul 3, 2009 - Gov. Jim Hogg City Park

Hello....Well we are back in Quitman again at Jim Hogg Park. We came back here cause we have Dr's. appoinments and family reunions to go to. We are waiting till our appoinments are finished so we can go farther north and get out of some of this heat. For the next two weeks we are keeping our little granddaughter Katelyn cause she has been sick. She is getting better and we are not spoiling her abit....we are having a good time with her. Thats about all we have been doing this time, just trying to stay in and stay cool. Catch you down the Road...

May 17, 2009 - Our First Entry-Jim Hogg Park

This is our first entry. Our journey started back in August, 2008 when we moved to Lake Tyler RV park. We stayed there until December 2008, then we moved to the Jim Hogg City Park in Quitman to be closer to our kids, grandkids and Gregg's parents for the Christmas holidays. Then in January, 2009 we moved back to Lake Tyler to finish up on Lyddia retiring from Mother Frances hospital. On April 23 we moved back to Quiitman for a month. We really enjoy this park cause we can ride our bikes with the grandkids and play at the park itself. We...
