The lagoon outside our RV has many birds that congregate there. This particular Great Egret was fishing for its dinner. It is really amazing to see them stalk their meal and if you zoom in on the mouth of the Great Egret in the last picture you can see the fish it is sending down its throat.

Apr 27, 2016 - Roseate Spoonbill

Our favorite bird is the Roseate Spoonbill, we first encountered one when we were staying at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi during the winter of 2010. We just love the coloring. We have been looking to find them, they normally nest in rookeries that are not anywhere near where we can get to them. We were hoping that they would visit the lagoon here at Seabreeze RV, we were blessed today to see them. We got the best pictures of any bird so far. The Roseate Spoonbill, like the American flamingo, pink color is diet-derived, they feed in...

Apr 25, 2016 - One Year ago

Well, it is hard to believe it has been one year today that I had triple bypass surgery after having a heart attack while having my cancerous prostate removed. Looking back on the past year, it is really humbling. According to Dr.Killinger I should not be alive. While I definitely went through a lot, Reggi went through much more than me. She did not know whether or not I would make it through surgery, the stress was immense. I am very Blessed and I know God has a plan for me and Reggi. I want to thank all of your for your continued...

Feb 14, 2016 - Valentine’s Day Dinner

Well we have been full-timing for going onto 7 years, this Valentine’s day dinner was by far the best one ever. The staff and volunteers put on a sit-down dinner. The tables were covered in a table cloth, china and silverware with glass wine glasses. We had a choice between Spaghetti or Shrimp Alfredo, the rest of the dinner included a very nice salad, bread, chocolate Mouse and a bottle of wine. The entertainment was by 18 year old Ronny James who sang all sorts of songs from Country Western to oldies but goodies. We had a wonderful time....
