I wake up at 2:00 AM. Is it cold in here? John may think I’m crazy but I’m plugging in the heater. John doesn’t think I’m crazy. He turned on his electric blanket last night! BRRRR! We meet Marjorie and her father for breakfast. Again, the conversation is nonstop. Marjorie has appointments today. After breakfast, she and her father head back to Azle. May 8, 2019 - Poolville, Texas

We need to make a decision. There are two routes we can take today. The faster route is all interstate. The slower route is no interstate. That didn’t take long. If we are in Texas, we would like to see Texas. We plan to travel an hour and a half before we take our break. For the first hour, it is raining but we expected that. We stop at an historic marker. There are a lot of them in Texas! The last half hour is a mess. The skies open up. We are in a torrential downpour! It is rough going. We have the option of pulling over. We slow down...

Jun 3, 2009 - Poolville, Texas

We drove from Sedalia, and got to Grove, Oklahoma. It was there we had tire problems. I will spare you the whole story. But it took me two days to straighten out what was the problem, buy two tires from WalMart and have them installed in another tire store that could do alignments. About $600 later we hit the road for Thackerville, Oklahoma which is on the border of Texas. For a change we actually had a full day drive with nothing going wrong on the truck. The next day we pulled stakes and headed to Poolville, Texas. We arrived about Noon...
