We woke up this morning in Tenn. with frost on the ground. When we started traveling we hoped we would never see frost again. But even in Texas we have seen frost and snow. Down in the RGV we have never seen either and we hope it stays that way. The only way to get any further south would be to go in to Mexico. We do cross over at one place only and you only go in 4 blocks. That folks is how bad it is. The drug lords are fighting the mexican goverment right at the border crossings. Feb 28, 2013 - Still In Texas. Next is Arkansas.
An uneventful trip through northern Texas. No chance to stop and gawk, drive, drive, eat, drive. We stayed the night in a KOA, near Pittsburg, Texas. Onward to Arkansas Friday. Mar 6, 2012 - Headed back to Ky
Well we headed out this morning around 8:45. We are taking back roads to stay off of the interstate. Drove 302 miles today. We are at a real nice campground right outside of Pittsburgh, TX. Nice and quiet and real clean. We are getting Passport America and getting our night for 12.50. That is cheaper than Walmart. If you are ever up this way you need to try this camp ground out. Big Cypress RV Park. The showers and restrooms are real clean and the laundry is FREE. Can you belive that price.Jump to full entry
