Sep 18, 2012 - Last Supper

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 Today was our last day of travelling together. It started off by us leaving Van Horn at 8:39 under a bright blue sky with small white clouds dotted all over the sky. We got fuel before hitting the road at Pilot who had a price of $4.16 per gallon. We spent a total of $147.00, getting 35.5 gallons. There were mountains in the distance, desert landscape, prickly pear cactus and yellow wildflowers to start (sunflowers later). There were strong winds. Chuck even woke up at 2:00 am, hearing and feeling the motor home...

Utah 2012

Mar 12, 2008 - Mountain Home, TX - The YO Ranch

Today, my friend, Sonia, and I went to YO Ranch in Mountain Home. We had a beautiful sunny day and we were excited to visit this ranch in the rolling, rugged hills to view the wildlife populating the ranch. Currently, the ranch comprises 40,000 acres and maintains a huge herd of registered Longhorns; but, the other attractions at the ranch are much more exotic.......giraffe, ostrich, oryx, deer, sheep, wildebeest, a camel, and more. Apr 8, 2007 - Back Into Texas

April 5-8 We drove south through Carlsbad. Did not stop to see the caverns this time. Been there, done that as they say. Made it as far as Ft. Stockton in Texas before deciding to stop for the night. There's a "plain Jane" sort of RV park there (Passport) that I remembered staying in once before when we traveled out this way with Raymond and Glenda. Still there and still not very impressive, but for $9 for W/E/S overnight it was just what we needed. Walked for awhile with AF and Buddy, but me and Buddy quit after a few blocks. Alice Faye...
