Thursday morning after my personal training at the gym, I headed to Donette Harpoleā€™s home in the Morgans Point neighborhood on Lake Belton to spend a couple of nights. For quite a while, we had been planning to get together so we could spend a day at the nearby Mother Neff State Park. It is a 259-acre state park located on the Leon River west of Moody in Coryell County, at 1680 Texas 236 Highway. Jan 15, 2001 - 1993 May 15 (P.M.) - Mother Neff State Park

This afternoon I visited Mother Neff State Park near Moody. It was the first state park created in Texas. Recent floods had caused considerable damage. Park officials were still in process of cleaning up the debris and having some of the buildings repaired or replaced.
