Apr 3, 2009 - Fun Day
We went to the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park/World Birding Center. You remember-Lloyd Millard Bentsen, Jr. (February 11, 1921–May 23, 2006), was a four-term United States senator (1971 until 1993) from Texas and the Democratic Party nominee for Vice President in 1988 on the Michael Dukakis ticket. This is a very popular place for "Winter Texans" We hiked about 5 miles today in the park. Spotted some birds that we haven't seen before. The Los Ebanos Ferry was not running today, not that we would have used it! The picture says it all.

On the way we stopped so I could get a couple of pictures of a local Mexican cemetery. It is...
