Mar 20, 2010 - Lake Texana State Park
Well today we moved on down the road to Lake Texana State Park....it is located about 6 miles East of Edna, Texas. We are about 27 miles north of the Gulf. This is a pretty park...its kinda old but has alot of charm and big old trees. We are in site #110. We are staying here for two nights before we move along. Today we went exploring. We drove to a little town called Blessing...its not very big, but we were told that the old hotel had a wonderful buffet there. By the time we got there we weren't hungry yet, but the hotel was neat to look...Jump to full entry
Nov 10, 2008 - What a Life!
Linda and I have been here at Lake Texana State Park near Edna, Texas since September 18, 2008. We arrived here with our friends and traveling companions, Rudy and Linda Hingst, to begin hosting. This was our first time to host, although Rudy and Linda were old hands at this, having hosted here once before. They had talked about how much they enjoyed it and it sounded like something we would like doing. We couldn't have made a better decision! Jan 5, 2007 - My First Live Armadillo!!!!
You know the story about fish & company both need to leave after three days. Our version is that after spending three nights with Uncle Wally (World), we were ready to leave & spend the night in a real campground. Approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon we pulled into Lake Texana State Park near Edna, Texas, about 90 miles south of Houston. The first sign that Vicki saw immediately upon entering the park read....."Watch out for wild alligators". The second sign that she saw read, "Watch out for poisonous snakes."
