Lake Medina is a reservoir NW of San Antonio. The park is big, with spaces under huge oak trees (huge for Texas, where moat oak trees are small). The only problem is that after 2 years of drought, the lake is mostly empty, with cattle grazing in the grass covered bottom. Interesting, but not a place for water sports. The deer population there is really out of control. The small deer are always around, sometimes in herds of 20-40 (if someone is feeding them).
