Dec 10, 2010 - We Can See Clearly Now, the Shade is On!

We have been in McKinney since last Sunday getting our coach fitted for a new cockpit shade. We had had so much trouble with the driver's side shade, that we finally decided to bite the bullet and get the really nice one. One button and the day shade comes down, one button and the night shade appears. It's fantastic. The MCD people are very good. They have a couple - Jim and Peg - who live on site and take the orders etc. They used to be in television back in NY state and now do a web broadcast called American RVer. They interviewed us for...

Jun 27, 2009 - Fort Worth Stock Yards

The heat was beginning to rise, even under the protection of the store awnings we could still feel the sun and it’s effect on stimulating the sweat glands to produce moisture. This old cow town in Fort Worth has a narrow main street, still lined with the old brown bricks and has buildings listed as “Best steaks” in town, no place for a vegetarian I guess. May 27, 2009 - New location----RV Ranch

Here we are in Keene Texas, Donna begins work at the hospital in Cleburne which is 9 miles away, compared to Van Nuys to Los Angeles, a drive in the park! "RV Ranch" is a beautiful park, has a few RV spots with tree's, that could be a bad thing as I was fishing the first day here, I heard a big crack and watched a large limb fall from a tree missing a RV, yes, I moved my seat from the shade to the sun, no sense taking a chance! There are 254 full hook up sites, two pools, the laundry rooms are so clean, this makes a big difference for...

May 20, 2009 - Leaving old assignment (Tyler) for new assignment

Ok here we go, Donna will begin a new assignment in Cleburne Texas, we will be living in a RV Park just down the road from Cleburne, the town is called Keene. I will post more information after we get set up and settled in. We had been set up here in Tyler Texas, have had a great time at my brothers house, they have a perfect set up for a RV...water, power and sewer, so we were in the lap of luxury, not to mentioned the brisket(s) and side dishes that we enjoyed while here. We had some great conversations with all members of Duane's side of...
