May 31, 2005 - Day 2 Mobile to Humble,Tx

Tues Milage 2608 71 degrees 7am Alarm went off ran to Kic's for shower & it's raining off & on. Said our goodby's and left for Miss. Brenda driving. 8:45am crossed into Miss and had to add 33mi's to detour to Ford place to check air.OK. 10:35am Forgot pictures in Miss so got one when we got to La. Saw water leaking from under TV so will do another detour. 12n Found Camper World and had them fix the leak. 2pm Linda cooking lunch and trouble getting a TV signal. Smoke alarm going off with her sausage & pineapple rice. Good tho. 4:05pm Repairs...

Jun 12, 2004 - June 12-13 - Humble - Gilbreath Family Reunion

The reunion was hosted by Donna Reynolds at her home. She has plenty of room for all of us because she owns the Montessori school next door and two small houses behind her home. She has many air mattresses which she put into the school classrooms. Or course, I went in my Chinook, so I had my own sleeping space and bath facilities. I just cannot rest when I’m crowded in with a bunch of other people, especially when someone is snoring!

Jun 9, 2001 - Humble - Gilbreath Reunion

This week end I attended the Gilbreath family reunion in Humble. Very few were able to attend because of flooded roads. On my way down, I saw a lot of deep standing water but I was able to get there with no trouble. This was a bad one! Shirley Silcox’s house was flooded with about two feet of water. After the reunion, Donna, Ray and I went with her to see what needed to be done. Before we had even arrived at her neighborhood, we could smell the mold from all the ruined carpets, furniture, etc. I took a lot of pictures to document the...
