Jan 26, 2005 - Stopover in Houston - nice airport!

Unfortunately I was flying Continental (I had a credit I needed to use), which meant I had to stop at one of their hubs. I wasn't that upset, however, because I got to layover in Houston, and see their brand new terminal. It's pretty cool design with a countless amount of TV monitors wraped around it. Fortunately, my gate was near one of Continental's President's Club lounges. I found a seat near the entrance, and picked up a free wireless signal on my laptop. Yeah baby! Jan 12, 2005 - arriving home at last

Arriving home at last: I arrived home on the 8th. After Linda picked me up from the bus in Houston I spent the night at her place and filled her in on some of the details. We had a gourmet dinner at Long John Silvers. I had shrimp, cold slaw, corn on cob and a frozen A&W root beer. The next morning she drove me home. Doug slowed down the speed and we just took it easy. The RV park was very nice and we pulled in just about dusk. But the major drawback to this park was the amount of mosquitoes! If we opened the door to go in or out...

Nov 13, 2004 - Houston

Hi all Well Houston was a bit of a let down as it seems it is not geared for tourists but is more of a business centre. The Gray line tour company which we always use was a one man show but the bus was in the chop shop. We booked our hotel near six flags amusement park but that was closed for winter. So a bit of an anti-climax - and Houston is the 4th biggest city in the US!! Nonetheless, we were within walking distance of Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans) where the 2004 Superbowl took place so we went on a tour of the stadium...

Zimbo's in America

Jan 15, 2001 - 1993 June 12-13 – Houston - Gilbreath Reunion

This week end I attended our Gilbreath family reunion in Houston, hosted by second-cousin, Donna Reynolds. She has a large house and a three-car garage that has been converted into a game room. She also has a large swimming pool that takes up nearly the entire back yard!
