Sep 18, 2011 - Visit with Cousins Bill and Lillie Stafford

SUNDAY Today I drove from Ingram to Graham to visit cousin Bill Stafford and his wife, Lillie. It was nearly five o’clock by the time I arrived. Along highway 16 in the area near Possum Kingdom Lake I saw some of the aftermath of the recent wild fires. The smell of ashes was very strong. It made me feel sad to see such destruction. MONDAY This morning Bill had to work until 1:00. He has never fully retired; he works at the United Supermarket mornings Monday through Friday. Lillie and I stopped by to see him. She bought a few groceries and I...

Nov 10, 2007 - Lewisville, TX to Graham, TX

(Ron Writing) This morning we stopped by a laundromat in Lewisville and did our biweekly chore. It's good to have it all done again. It's not our favorite job. It was a nice drive all the way but my favorite section was Texas 59 between Saint Jo and Jacksboro. Daisy and I traveled through rolling hills with lots of trees of many species interspersed with large meadows of prairie grass. During my visit with Bill and Lillie, we had to plan around their work schedules. Bill works 8:00 to 12:00 Monday through Friday and Lillie works 4:00 to 10:00 Friday through Tuesday....

Oct 15, 2004 - October 15-20 – Graham - Visit with Cousins Bill and Lillie Stafford

This was my first visit with Bill and Lillie at their home in Graham. It had been many years since I had seen them and it was the first time I had seen their children, Will and Susan, and Susan’. Of course, we had a lot of catching-up to do. Bill was on medical leave after surgery but was feeling well enough to show me around town during the day while Lillie was at work. On Saturday we stopped in at Wal-Mart to see Lillie and to watch little Braydon having his portraits made. He was so cute and such a ham. Sunday afternoon Bill and Lillie...
