Jun 6, 2011 - Headed For The Unknown
As they say in all of the cowboy movies....WESTWARD HO!!!! We have started our adventure West from Sherman, TX. on Sunday morning, June 5, 2011 at 08:10AM. Danny and I have re-checked and re-checked and re-checked the re-check!!! (did that make any sense....NOT) If we have forgotten anything Danny will buy it for me. Those were his exact words. Our first stop for the night was Goodlett, TX., 206 miles from Sherman, TX., where we stayed the night at the 'Ole Cotton Gin' RV Park. Not much to tell you about the scenery on the way to...

Oct 9, 2009 - Ole Town Gin RV Park
Staying at the "Old Town Gin RV Park". Nice level sites with plenty of grass between sites. The cable tv here does not provide the national tv networks, its just 6 channels cnn, tnt, usa, weather channel, discover and cartoons. So really they dont have cable so if you dont have satellite you are very limited in what you can see on tv.

Jul 17, 2008 - Day 14
Day 14 We traveled from Alamosa, Colorado to Goodlett, Texas. Our first of four days on the road back home. It was 473 miles from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m, but we also lost an hour going back into the central time zone. We got 9.4 mpg. We left the Rockies in the morning and traveled through Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. We also saw the Capulin Volcano in northern New Mexico. We spent half the day in Texas along with most of the day tomorrow too. It was very windy as we crossed the plains of northwest Texas. We drove through Amarillo on...

Oct 3, 2006 - Goodlett, TX
It's time to move on today if we're going to get to Santa Fe for our reservations on the 5th. As we traveled NW from Dallas, we met the cool front that was moving south. Ahhh relief = 70 degrees! We stopped at a nice stop over campsite in Goodlett, TX. A pretty amazing site with free laundry, hot tub, exercise area & breakfast. The office was in an old cotton gin building. We had some nice neighbors and they loaned us the movie RV with Robin Williams. Really funny - I sure hope we don't make all the mistakes he made!
