December 15, 2019 – Aransas Pass to Cleveland, Texas I decided to come to Cleveland today. I’m only 15 miles from Livingston. I’ll go in early tomorrow morning to pick up my power of attorney and then head back to Houston to pick up Sarah at the airport. It was a nice drive up here. It was partly cloudy most of the way. Jan 12, 2018 - Friday, Cleveland Texas

I was a little worried the weather for today listening to the weather people the night before. We were lucky because the storm hit west of us so the road were fine. The only issue was on I-30 going west from where we were. The road was closed because a semi had turn over and blocked both lanes. We were not in a hurry because we were waiting for the road to open. We pulled out of Arkadelphia around 9:30 am and only had a 5 minute stop on the expressway for the accident. Everything was fine after that other than the sun was shining and not a...

2018 Winter

Mar 29, 2008 - Cleveland Texas

Left Defuniak Springs about 8am. See final night picture of Mel with the crew. Son Mark (easily identifiable), daughter Penny, granddaughter Brittany and son-in-law Danny. Long trip---540 miles. Arrived safe and sound. Cleveland was much bigger than I had anticipated. Found Ray and Carolyn's with no problem. Ray had to work Saturday and Sunday. Mel and I shopped with Carolyn on Saturday. Sunday Carolyn's boys visited with their families and it was like the old days at our house. Everyone is so nice and friendly. It was a great Easter....
