December 6, 2011 Camped two nights in Carthage, TX- temperature 42 Carthage RV Park, a very nice campground with concrete pads, and cable. We spent two nights to rest and study where to head next. A cold front is pushing down from the north but temperatures are getting warmer as we head south. The area we hope to be in is supposed to be in the 70’s next week, which would be great. No Photos

Today was a travel day. We headed southwest on Interstate 30 and turned onto Highway 59 at the border of Arkansas and Texas in Texarcana and headed south. The weather was clear and the morning air was crisp, another perfect fall day. Surprisingly, the truck traffic on the Interstate was not too heavy, so we decided to just stay on it. Once we got into Texas, we discovered that Highway 59 was nice and wide and the traffic was pretty minimal.
