Jul 16, 2009 - Burleson in my rear view mirror

Good Evening. After 2 weeks of canoe camp and 1 week of non water camp, I am ready to travel. Charlotte and I celebrated my Birthday at camp with a ice cream cake she brought to me. We had to slice the cake to allow it to fit in the trailer freezer, and oh yes, we had to eat part of it immediately. May 7, 2009 - 1st stop Burleson, TX

We've made the first day of travel. It was touch and go for awhile. Didn't get the truck back until 2:00 and we pulled out at 3:00. I drove hard - wanted to arrive before dark and before the office closed at 8:00(not crucial) - we did both. This is a beautiful park! We're across from the adult pool and hot tub. Having a much needed drink and listening to some bluesy music Charlie put on. May even sneak over to the hot tub! Tomorrow we'd like to wait for Ft.Worth rush hour traffic to clear so will take our time leaving. Our destination...

It’s a nice place with a lot of amenities. I wanted to be close to McClain’s RV SuperStore and Camping World because I need to go there tomorrow to have both vehicles...

Most of that time was due to the wash and wax job, which was less than perfect, I must say. At least I don’t have to be ashamed of how Daisy looks now, though. They wouldn’t install the TV converter box because I haven’t yet received my voucher from Uncle Sam. The voucher must be presented at the time of service. The refrigerator recall and regular service went well. That’s a definite plus. About...
