May 2, 2011 - Wildfire Detour!

April 28th, 2011 After hearing of a large rattler sighted in the park across from the RV park, Charlie and I have been more cognizant of legless lizards on our walks. Just the other day while walking him in his favorite area he surprised one of the critters that slithered its protest through the dry underbrush making much more noise than I'd have expected. I saw the last three feet not knowing if there was one inch or five feet more snake on the other side of the brush. And neither of us hung around to find out as I yanked Charlie's tether...

Mar 2, 2008 - Rollin, Rollin, Rollin...

Hi everyone, We are a bit West of Dallas now after attending the Hydrotex Annual Meeting. Lots of good information but my brain is so full I'll have to buy a BIG memory stick at Best Buy and do a download! Lots of interesting things going on in the lubrication industry that will affect all of us, hopefully for the good. After pulling up stakes and heading out, we stopped here and there as we went and found a very nice part of Texas that looks much like Upper Michigan or Northern Wisconsin. Nov 16, 2007 - Movin' On to Baird, TX

Friday, November 16, I was up at 8:30 but my body thinks it is 7:30 (Mountain Time.) We pack up and leave by 11:00. It is much warmer this morning as we pack up with a low of only 51 degrees last night. The two dachshunds are out in the yard across the way. There is a sign with a picture of a dachshund on it hanging on the fenced-in backyard that says "I can reach the fence in 2.7 seconds--Can you?" I called our friend Shirley this morning around 10:00.
