Feb 16, 2017 - Preparation for boondocking

Well we are preparing to enter New Mexico. We made sure that Bunny has all of her treats packed to go. We also made sure that our freezer and refrigerator are as full as we can get them. This will be the first time that we have tried to do the boondocking or (dry camping) as they call it. We did a little of it when we traveled to Alaska, but never planned on staying more than a day or two at a time. Now we're planning on staying a week at a time. I'm excited about this. Bunny is doing OK but she doesn't like the small burrs that she gets in...

Feb 15, 2017 - On the Road

Well we're on the road headed west. We stopped over in Georgia at a State Park and stayed over night. Then we stopped at a corps of engineer place in Mississippi. The weather has been cold. We are 37 miles from New Mexico staying in Andrews Texas. We are going out tonight for supper at a Mexican restaurant. It will be interesting to see how Bunny does with us going and her left alone. We had another tire issue. The tread came off of the right rear tire and I had it replaced today. We have spent today getting updates on the internet and...

Nov 16, 2011 - Traveling

We left Sonoita and drove south toward Sierra Vista. We did it again - drove through Bisbee without stopping to explore that neat old mining town. In Southern Arizona, we saw a great sign, but couldn't turn around to get a picture. "Free Trade Policy. Drugs In. $Billions$ out." That just about says it all. From Douglas, we drove up to Rodeo, NM, and then across the southernmost road in New Mexico. It's a beautiful drive. We had one bad stretch of road.
