May 3, 2013 – Alice and Banquete, Texas I went to Alice today to see the world’s tallest concrete water tower – at least it was in the 1960’s when it was listed in Ripley’s Believe it or Not. There is one in Trimley near Felixstowe, Suffolk which is 145’ tall and is reputed to be the tallest ”legged” concrete water tower in the UK and is bigger than the one in Alice. Jan 15, 2008 - Leaving San Antonio for Alice, Texas

We traveled safely and without incident from San Antonio to Alice, Texas. We were unable to get the repairs done, but a trusted mechanic assured Steve that the problems do not compromise our safety, so we hit the road without waiting the 2 days it would have taken them to start the work. Alice is a small town, some businesses and a Super Wal-Mart and lots and lots of Mexican restaurants. Three other RV's were with us in the Parking lot overnight. As usual, everyone was nice.
