Jun 3, 2018 - A look back...way back

Sue and I have always enjoyed history surrounding the Civil War. We have spent the last two days touring a couple of battlefields in western Tennessee. We took advantage of the good weather to see the battlefields, tour the visitor centers and view the films available at both centers. We really enjoyed the chance to look at the battlegrounds, understand the strategy and view the consequences. Let me outline a little of what we learned. The Battle of Parkers Crossroads took place in late December of 1862. The confederate forces were...

Jun 1, 2018 - Yuma...Tennessee, that is...

Thursday started in a rush. A few items to prepare the Bus for travel before we headed to the doctor. The tire pressures needed to be adjusted for the location and the weather, so at 7:00 I was out letting air out of the tires of the Bus and the CRV. Then I got dressed to go with Sue for the last doctors visit (her cardiologist) this trip. Apr 2, 2013 - Visiting family and friends - April 2nd - May 25th

Monday, April 1st – We arrived at Nashville Country RV Park – site 35 – around 10:30am. After hooking up the electrical, water, and sewer; we went over to visit my mom at the Phoenix Flea Market. Well, because Nancy, my sister, was not there to take her to work, she was at home. We went to the house to surprise her there. After catching up a little, we decided to go to the Cracker Barrel! For those of you who do not know, my mom is 92 years old and she has a booth at a small flea market in Old Hickory, TN, where she takes orders for picture...

Nov 25, 2011 - OTRA – TN - Yuma

11/25/11 On The Road Again – tra la la la la la la la la – once again, 11 :00 a.m. Nice drive through the country via US 79 from Clarksville to Yuma Tennessee and the Parkers Crossroad RV Park. Starting to see logging trucks and huge bales of cotton wrapped in bright colors lying in the fields. Something you may have noticed…we haven’t had many pictures lately. That’s because Bob’s camera, a nice little one with an optical viewfinder and oh so easy to use, no longer works and we’ve not had a chance to find a camera shop to get it fixed....
