The uphill climb to our “home site” near Asheville, NC was well-worth the trek. Not only did our site have a beautiful view, the site itself became more beautiful while we were there. Our front lawn was home to a Japanese cherry tree that had buds on it when we arrived, fully bloomed in three days, and then “snowed” blossom petals during a strong breeze before we left. Mar 29, 2010 - Honey, We're Home
We arrived at Misty River Cabins and RV Park about mid afternoon. We have spent several months at this campground and it has the feel of coming home. A few years ago, Gene was asked by his boss to work out of the Knoxville office for a few months. This is the campground we made our home during the 9 months he worked in Knoxville. Jan 17, 2010 - Our new digs!
We did it! We bought our new home away from home! It's a 2005 Cedar Creek 5th Wheel. Has everything we wanted and more! We're storing it at a campground and get to visit anytime we want, since it's a close distance to home. Rving came to us really quickly. We'd talked about it in the past, but never did it until this past Christmas, when we drove to West Virginia in a rented rv to play in the snow. We loved it - the peace and quiet and lack of stress.
