May 17, 2011 - Nashville
What a great time we have had in Nashville…. The weather has been lousy but in a way it is sorta nice to have to use a blanket and turn the fireplace on to take the chill off.. I can’t remember the last time that has been needed. Yesterday we went to downtown Nashville which is called “The District… It hasn’t changed much since the last time we were here except for the effects of the horrible flood they had just one year ago.. We found a parking lot that was big enough for our truck up on Church Street just above the Ryman Theater and...

May 15, 2011 - Thanks for the Peaches Georgia
We were up bright and early this morning.. About 6:30am to be exact.. I think the reason was that we had the electrical problems in the back of our mind all night which were really brought on when the air conditioner in the bedroom (small one) wouldn’t even go on… We really didn’t need it after the cold front came thru but when we had it set at 60 and didn’t go on we were worried that maybe all the power surges we had at the park from hell had burned something out… The morning started out as usual but soon after the coffee was finished...

Oct 29, 2010 - Almost Home
Left Memphis for the West Tennessee crowd and headed toward home today. Stopped in Smyrna so we could go down to Columbia to eat catfish. Now isn't that a good reason???? Believe I could have done a good electric slide tonight in Nashville, but catfish won out. With a little luck we'll be home tomorrow.

Sep 13, 2010 - New Record Day
With an early start today we drove 470 miles to Smyrna, Tennessee. This is an all time record distance for us in one day and we will not soon repeat such a marathon drive. All of the drive was on Freeways except for a short detour we took in Little Rock, Arkansas to escape a back up on I-40. After returning to I-40, we continued all but the last 20 miles on I-40 before hitting I-24 in Nashville, TN. We have a short 215 trip tomorrow to Dahlonega which will end this years major trip,

Jun 10, 2010 - Smyrna, TN
June 10, 2010 I have not made entries in the last few days because of difficulty accessing the web site so I will try to make up for it now. So much for Virgin Mobile WiFi. On Tuesday, the 8th, we stopped at St. Joseph, MO. There were tornado warnings out but they were mostly confined to Kansas City to our south. We got through the evening with just some cloud cover and no actual storms. Yesterday we traveled across Missouri and stopped in Hannibal, the home of Mark Twain. We took a river boat tour on the very muddy Mississippi and then...

Oct 3, 2009 - Layover in Smyrna, TN
We stopped in Smyrna, TN to visit Paula's Uncle Red and Aunt Ruth. We spent three days with them. As usual, they were great hosts. They will be going back to full-time RVing next April. Maybe we will meet up on the road next summer or fall. Smyrna is south and east of Nashville. It is very close to Nashville, home of the Grand Ole Opry.

Feb 28, 2009 - Sunny- The Tennessee Sunrisers "Mascot" February, 2009
I AM SO GLAD you wanted to read about me.......Please follow my year by going to all the different months. I was actually "born" on October, 2, 2008. A couple of families had me for short periods, but, I'M SURE, they will want me again, so I will talk about them LATER. When I was first born, I went to some "temporary places BEFORE I was given a home with MIKE & PEGGY HARDISON. Peggy and Mike started me off going into Peggy's school and having lunch with the children and taking lunch money at the cash register (WORK), I went grocery...
