Aug 5, 2011 - Happy Birthday Darren!

As our canine companions are awake at sunrise nowadays so are we, but that’s OK as it means we are able to leave early and arrive at our destination before it gets unbearably hot. Today we headed to Reelfoot Lake State Park in the far northwest of Tennessee which was formed by a series of earthquakes in the 1800’s. As it was a heavily forested area and the remains of the forest are still beneath the lake, most of the lake is only 5 foot deep and is a huge natural fish hatchery – so maybe Darren will catch a fish for his birthday!
