On Friday if was on the road again for us, but only a half day’s drive to a casino RV park we've been to several times before. Fred swears the restaurant in the casino has the BEST fried chicken he’s ever had, so we stop there going and/or coming whenever we are in this part of the US so he can have the fried chicken for supper! Reelfoot Lake was our destination. It was a 300 mile drive from Lexington. We had spent a night here 4 summers ago. At that time we were working and it was just a stop along the way. The area is a major hunting and fishing preserve, it comprises 25,000 acres of which 15,000 are water) and harbors almost every kind of shore and wading bird, as well as the golden and American bald eagles.
