Coca-Cola was first bottled in 1899 at a plant on Patten Parkway in downtown Chattanooga after two local attorneys purchased the bottling rights to the drink for $l.00. Davy Crockett was not born on a mountaintop in Tennessee, as the song says. He was born on the banks of Limestone Creek near Greeneville, where a replica of the Crockett's log cabin stands today. Interesting, we have camped a lot 25 miles from home. It was all we had time for, you see my husband works in Indiana, and we live in TN. Last year he was in KS. So 25 miles was far on a weekend. Now, he is retiring or retarded or something, but on his way home. I am working on the camper, trying to get it ready. We are going, going, and going. It is a labor of love, working on the camper.
