May 16, 2008 - Despite the Rumors
From Montgomery Bell State Park, just west of Nashville, TN. Despite the many rumors that may be floating to the contrary, we are still alive, kicking (or at least stubbing our toe), & enjoying the simple life. Last Wednesday (05/07), we migrated from Crossville, Tennessee to Franklin, Tennessee, parking again at our home WalMart. Though Brian was working, Heather, Micah, Joelle & Isabel came over & had dinner with us Wednesday night. Sep 6, 2007 - Day # 2
Left Red Top Mountain on the 6th around 10 AM, Made it to Montgomery Bell about 4pm. Had to manuever around a fallen tree across 70 and lost the new lavratory vent cover on a low tree limb. At least I know how to replace it. The RV park at Montgomery Bell is all back in, and not many at an angle. Had to ask the park host wich would be easiest and did manage to wiggle it in without any damage after almost an hour. Never take an RV to Montgomery Bell. During our entire camping lives, we have probably spent more time at Montgomery Bell State Park, 30-40 miles west of Nashville, than we have at any other single campground. We were there when Brian & Kevin were pre-school & elementary school ages. Oh, how we have progressed. I remember so vividly the picture that we have somewhere amongst the keepsakes of our campsite during one of those trips. I'll try my best to describe the picture for you to imagine.
