Sep 25, 2009 - Our new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

If you have been reading this journal since we left TN back on May 1st, you know that we lost our 2005 Jeep Liberty in a freak accident. Thanks to Bill & Cheryl, Dave & Jan, and Don & Alice Faye, they all were very kind to us and haul us all over Canada and Alaska on our 4 month and 20 day Alaskan trip. But know we were able to finally buy us a new vehicle and this is what we got. It is a rag top 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I plan for us to keep this vehicle for a very long and someday, when the new wears off, to get it out and...

This was our 2nd time to see this area and we really enjoy Mt. Rushmore. Everyone should see it. The Needles highway is a beautiful drive through the hills and through some tunnels. One of the tunnels is quite long and is only one lane, so you have to...

Apr 25, 2009 - Back to Milan, TN

Back in Milan, TN now at my mothers house. The drive both from Milan to Tunica and back was during very windy days. Not fun driving in a motorhome. Also on I-40, we were delayed for about 30 minutes with construction on a bridge. The traffic was routed up an exit ram, across a road, and back down the entrance ram to get back on I-40. I was listening on the CB to the truckers. To say the least, they were not happy. Now we have a lot to do. My mother has an appointment on Thursday with a Heart Surgeon, to do unclog an artery for her kidneys...
